Welcome to the Empath Education website. My name is Ed Shaw (a.k.a., “Empath Ed”), founder of Empath Education, LLC, whose mission is to provide empathy-empowered education and training for dementia care partners and healthcare professionals.

I am dually trained as a physician and mental health counselor, and was primary care partner for my late wife, Rebecca, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2007 at age 53 and passed away in 2016 following a 9-year journey.
